Is it the full invisible shield from Zagg causing the overheat of my iPod touch 4g white-32gb or it's just I synced 1000 songs and some apps and pictures that causes the heat?

Months back my first iPod tough 4g white-32gb died(absolutely dead unit) because of overheating, I guess.
My first iPod got full body i.shield also and when it died, it was plugged in a wall charger and it was too hot when I held it.

Now, I synced this brand new out of the box replacement, with full body i.shield. I noticed it was too hot.
    Any thoughts? Thank you.

A invisible shield wouldn't make it hot

Thank you for your thought. So do you think it's because I synced?..

It's how much the device is working to get all of those songs on there at a fast rate.

I don't think a device can break due to overheating because it will tell you when it gets too hot and stop working.

Syncing does take a lot of processing power, and while plugged into power the battery gets hotter, the processor is clocked higher, and some other things that just make syncing very intensive. It could be that. When you were done syncing, did it cool down quickly?

Not quite true. Heat sinks send heat to different places. That said, one area can be hotter than others. I've had heat problems with InvisibleShields at times. It acts as an insulator and traps heat. What ends up happening is that you get the weird effects you would with chargers that put out too much power. Random screen reads, unresponsiveness, though, has to be the worst of them.

So.. Can we say that my first iPod touch died of overheating because of invisible shield and charging?..

It won't die cause of it. The iPod will actually shut off on its own if it gets that hot. And heat problems due to an invisible shield would not be covered by warranty. That's like shoving the iPod in a hot car for a week and saying it doesn't work anymore.
