my ipod touch is abot a week old

I fully charged my battery before i went to bed, and then turned off the ipod using the power button on sbsettings

when i woke up about 7 hours later the ipod wouldn't even turn on, because the battery was dead

    what happened?

i have a jailbroken 2g, cydia, catagories, ice, winterboard, apt backup, sbsettings, open ssh, a few games
but the ipod was off so those shouldnt matter right?

i did use one of those apple wall socket to usb adapters for the first time, it charged fine, but could that be the problem?

My phone ALWAYS dies overnight, and my touch is always almost dead so...normal? Not like you need it while you sleep...just charge it while you sleep...

that can't be right, apple says that a charged touch that is off should have a battery time of a month
im assuming i have some kind of problem with an application of something....but again its off so i dont understand how it could be

That is exactly what you do.

Actually, if you buy a new device and something is wrong with the hardware, it is more likely that a problem will occur sooner than later.

What? Just restore your iPod and take it to an Apple store and get a new one.
