Is there any way that, after you jailbreak your iPod touch, you can transfer files from your desktop to it without installer? Installer 4 and Cydia both don't have the BSD subsystem or Pure-FTPd, so I can't ftp/ssh my things over. I'm using 2.2.1 and quickpwn.

You can use openssh and then you can login using
    login: root
    pass: alpine

I used installer 3 before, but even then openssh couldn't work on its own. It needed a ftp client.

On 2.x firmwares, all you need to install on your iPod is OpenSSH. And use Cydia, Installer isn't up to snuff anymore.

Gee, thanks you all. Didn't know you didn't need the ftp client.
