frozen up

    I have a ipod touch 8gb 2nd gen and it has worked fine since i got it at christmas, but suddenly it will not connect to my computer or ipod dock and willnot turn on. any help please???

    Plug it into your computer, did it recognize it?
    If not, do this:

    Plug it in.
    Hold the Home & Power buttons for 10 seconds.
    After the 10 seconds, release the power button but keep holding the home button.
    When youre holding the home button, you should hear your computer beep, release it.
    Your iPod will be black and non-responsive, welcome to DFU Mode.

    Open iTunes.
    It should say it detected an iPod in Recovery Mode.
    Just press the Restore button.
    Your iPod will restore.
