Ah, it depends on which button you push... That's aggravating.
Yeah, that;s the best part about it IMO
I'm confused... I only see 2 buttons, 1 links to the article and 1 to the associated thread.
If you click the "read more..." link at the end of the content, it goes about halfway down.
If you click the red "read more" link, it should display the whole article from the top.
It does the same for me too, can somebody do a print screen of what the front page is suppose to look like?!
I love it, the only "flaw" is that the titles are not on one line, but other than that, I love it!
Oh...come to think of it, I didn't notice, lol!!!
With all honesty, I think the update to the front page looks hideous.
My largest concern lies with the new font. Something about it just looks completely unprofessional. Maybe its the font? Maybe the bold? Possibly even a combination of both. The currently updated font is absolutely unnecessary though. I think the typical user can spot the title of articles with ease, without the need of bolded text. So why implement "Larger, bolder font" styles? It just doesn't look good. I don't see why the front page cannot sport a font similar to that of one of the many different popular tech sites likes Engadget or TheVerge (or one of the many other websites out there). Instead of trying to do something bold that just looks terrible, why not feature a font that is typical and looks wonderful on almost every article title?
Another thing that is insanely noticeable with the new font is its tendency to overlap already existing text. Here is an example of a recent article on the front page. Both of the P's and the Y are overlapping the text below them. Many of the other stories include the exact same problem with the text. I'm sure this can be fixed, but it needs to be done soon and is surely not something to ignore.
Another problem I seem to be having, or maybe its something that I just highly disapprove of when viewing the front page, is that the "More posts" section is viewable so high up on the front page. Why is something like this not at the bottom of the page, where it would actually be useful for a member to find older stories that aren't being displayed? Right now it just seems to serve no purpose, considering the articles in it can be found by simply taking one more second to scroll down on the page.
I completely agree with Renegade. Also, the double ellipses (one at the end and another on the Read More link) on every post is highly annoying and just breaks flow. Ellipses should not be used like this. Instead, it should be used in moderation.
Well whether you love it or hate it at least the front page is getting news every day now when it didn't use to.
Honestly, I really REALLY dislike it! The letters look way too tall, and some of the letters are overlapping the date posted underneath the title. Downright hideous.
I really prefer the old font, or if each user can customize their settings, where they can pick from a certain list of fonts/themes/etc... for the site.
