My touch is freezing more and more frequently. Firstly, it was once in a week, then once in a day and now is every few hours.
Everything started few days after my warranty expired, great job Apple, pretty nice accuracy to wash your hands off the hardware issue and making this piece of crap.
They want $100 from me for "repair" of their own hardware failure. Will think twice before buying any other crap from them.

So, when freezing happens I press the home and power button for the reset, it works temporarily but it is now very annoying due to frequency of it.
I should note that the touch is not jailbroken.
I've read and tried to drain battery but it is a temporary "fix" too.

Is there a permanent or a long lasting fix for this issue.
    Thanks

How about doing a fresh restore? Some common files must've gotten corrupted, causing the frequent crashes.

I forgot to mention that, good point, did tried that already with both newer and older firmware, it did not make difference. I am pretty positive this is a hardware issue. Not sure what part of hardware though, maybe memory, just guessing.
