Whenever I uninstall applications I've downloaded using the Installer program, and go back to iTunes to check my used space, it never goes down, as if I never uninstalled the application. I go back to my ipod and the application is definitely gone though. I've tried this with a couple of applications, same result.

How do I recover this disk space?

I manually delete left over folders of caches left by the applications.
    Anything under /library/
But if you use themes..uninstall the ones that you really don't need

or maybe it's because these applications are too small that they dont show up (most of them are like 100 - 500 bytes

Interesting... but what do you mean "under /library/"? How do I access it?

Sorry, I just jailbroke my ipod reallllly recently, so I'm a complete newbie at this stuff. =)

Thanks for the help so far.

Through SSH..you need to ssh into it and go to

private/var/root/mobile/library/ that's were most left out files are...
