I found WiFinder on the iTunes App Store, it seems as if its a rather good Wifi Finder, though the only problem is that i'd rather it make a sound when it finds a wifi access point, is there another free one that people know of that does this?

Why? Just use the one in the Settings app....

From what i have seen from using WiFinder, the one built into the ipod itself in the Settings, doesn't pick up anywhere as near as many as it does...

That's because the networks you see in wifi were hidden because:
    • they're private
    • they're passworded
    • they're LAN networks
    • they don't want to be seen; hence the word "hidden"

The settings is actually very easy, reliable and simple than to interfere yourself with the confusing other stuff about wireless connections.
