Nope you should be fine as long as you don't attempt to update your iPod's firmware. The iPhone Dev Team has already patched the mac iTunes 8 for pwnage compatibility, but they're waiting a couple more days just to get things in order.

Speaking of free episodes, I downloaded the first episode of heroes series 2 today. I've already seen it, but it was nice to watch it again.

However, I didn't notice any difference between the SD and HD versions except an extra gigabyte to download. It could be because I was watching it on my 15" MacBook Pro though.

So you didn't notice the difference in Resolution?

Not at all. It wasn't noticeably crisper, but I would just like to show some stats about the SD version:

Even though it's "standard definition", it has a very good bitrate and relatively good resolution (for displaying on my screen). I imagine it would make a MASSIVE difference if you're playing it on a 42" HD TV though

You know how HD is around 1.5GB (most files), but is it compressed while downloading so it doesn't take all your usage allowance?
