    Hi,

I am trying to install windows 7 or something lower on my macbook through Bootcamp or vmware, i was wondering if there is a free and legal way to get windows 7 rc or a beta maybe since they stopped being supplied. Would a linux be able to play heavy duty games such as COD 6? With a mac's RAM, of course.

    Thank you... =]

RC and beta have both expired by this point, so nope.

You can use Windows 7 in a testing phase for about 120days for free - google for "Windows 7 rearm" this will give you the howtos.
but otherwise: no you have to buy it or ask google for other methods

Remove that last part, ZhiZhi. People will start asking and people will get banned... We don't want that.

err...well okay I accept that "warning" above but my intention was not to encourage piracy but to point out that THERE ARE other methods on google that are pretty legal...
just to name some: cheap SB versions, MSDN AA free licenses,...
