I found a iphone 3g or a 3gs. I don't know which. I want to call some of the contacts on the phone so I can return it. The problem is there is a password on it. Is there anyway I can either unlock it or call a contact without unlocking it?

    Does it have a passcode?
If it does, you can say you have a lost iPhone but the guy who claims it's their's needs to give you the right passcode.

That doesn't help because I found it at a park and there was no one around. If I take it to an apple store or at&t store will they return it to the owner.

Maybe. They will probably know how to unlock it.

well, smexy could do that if he wanted to keep it, but since he wants to return it to the rightful owner, it would be easier to make sure that some random guy doesnt just claim the iphone as her own.

Back up both of those files, call the people, restore the original files. passcode is back
