Ok, I was on a 1st Gen iPod Touch with jailbroken 2.1 firmware and decided to upgrade to 2.2 firmware last night. So I downloaded the new firmware in iTunes, installed it and put some music back on the device. Then I ran Quickpwn 2.2 and jailbroke 2.2. However, upon restart, all of my apps are still poofed.

    Cliffs:

Apps that were poofed before 2.2 firmware (including cydia and installer) are still poofed after 2.2 install and jailbreak and now I can't SSH in or run poof....

    Halp!?

*EDIT* Putting in DFU and restoring from iTunes now.......

Well, I guess I got my answer... Had to DFU and restore... So I'm guessing the symlink for aptbackup is gone now......

That's happened to me before. Just set it up as a new iPod after you restore from jailbreaking or update, and you shouldn't have this problem again.
