formatting ipod?

    I just this minute ordered one of the new iphones and so will be selling my ipod touch 2g (8 gig), and was just wondering can you completely format it? i want to make sure all music vids pics apps etc that i have on there are completely gone (let whoever buys it off me get thier own stuff, lol). do i just use the restore ..erm..bit on itunes? or is there a more thorough method? cheers in advance, peeps!

    I think a restore is about as clean as you are going to get it. Traditionally you would want to zero-out the drive if you are going to sell it, but since there is no way to mount the iPod as a USB device, I do not think that is possible.

    Props to "solidness" - I forgot to mention that you should do a DFU restore as well.

    ACtually you can "zero-out the drive." iWipe from cydia or iErase from the app store
