Mmk so the title pretty much describes my situation i just changed my ipods passcode today and i guess my finger slipped or something because it said it was wrong. I created an account so i could talk to people that are well smarted than me lol. I really dont want to restore it because all my music isnt in my library and plus i dnt want to lose my apps. Is there some way i could find it in a hidden file or anything i could do to unlock it. I have a mac and a hp im freakin out and my imobster prob hates me

If you have SSH installed you can remove the passcode. there is a guide somewhere on this site. use the search button.

Secure Shell. It allows you to connect to the phone and view the file system. There are guides on this site. Just Search.

Go to google and download DiskAid for mac. Then connect you iPod to you mac. Go to the root in the left of DiskAid's window. Then follow these:

Navigate to the root folder. Then go to var. Then into a folder called "Keychains".
    Delete the file named "keychain-2.bd"
Restart your iDevice. You should now be able to unlock it without entering a passcode.

^ That will only work if he either jailbroke with redsn0w or installed afc2add before.

Do you really think that a brand new members finger slipped twice on their passcode's lockscreen?

Anyway, try to restore to a backup in your iTunes.

really? on their site it doesn't say it needs to be jailbroken. Then why doesn't he jailbreak with redsn0w and then do it? my way is the easiest way for him
