well my friend found my pass out so i changed it at lunch
and me being me i did a new random combo, then when i lock it, surprise, i forgot it.

so basicily i've been trying for a few hours to remember my pass by entering it over and over...
I know i can force restore it but its jailbroken and i have far to many things on it to start over!

    what else can i do?

BTW its not a timer pass, it requires it one you slide to unlock

    thank you!

Connect it to the computer you usually sync too, it should unlock.
From there, if you want to reset the password, you'd have to know it, so your only other option is a restore.

there was a tut on this site somewhere that tells you how to disable the passcode. but you need to have openssh installed and winscp.

I cant find it right now though, because I have to leave

its actually pretty easy to get rid of the passcode thru ssh.
its just one tiny line in one tiny little file....

ive decided not to tell you how in case you stole it.

Innocent until proven guilty my man. In addition, if he stole it, why would he be here since November of 2007?

In any case, I believe that you SSH into your iPod, and navigate to the directory: /private/var/mobile/Library/Preferences and delete every file in there. Then reboot. If it doesn't work, search around a bit or wait for somebody else to help.

well its mine, read the comment above, its just common sense.

I'm in ssh, in the folder listed in the post above and i see if i delete everything all my app preferences will be gone.

what .plist should i delete? i tried the preferences and rebooted but nothing happened.
