I'm forcing myself to not get one at all. I really don't wanna spend the money though.

Well, as of now, every iDevice being sold has unjailbreakable hardware.

The Dev Team and others have only found software exploitsnow.

It's sad that you base your decision on whether it'll be jailbreakable or not :S

Agreed. Plus, jailbreak is really stale. It was great in 1.x and 2.x, we don't really need a jailbreak with 4.x.

Never really saw the appeal of jailbreaking other than some emulators, but that alone was not worth the battery drain IMO.

yea, for those of us who adopted the touch in its earliest incarnation had no app store. therefore to be able to take advantage of the device a jailbreak was a must. I can understand the want for a jailbreak on the 3.x devices for themes and backgrounding apps. Now its merely for aesthetic reasons and in my opinion its not worth the hassle. If you are saying that you can not give up a jailbreak for this big of a leap forward in hardware and functionality you have issues.

Emulators and modifications like backgrounder were the only reason I jailbroke, but that was on the iPad.

Ahh yes, the good ole days of the iPod touch 1G. I gotta say not even the newer versions can beat the original Tap Tap Revolution. Use any song you want = one great freakin app. Now it just sucks and is not even worth it.

Jailbreak is good for iPhone 4 for 3G facetime. Other than that, maybe a few Cydia apps are worth it.
