Force restore didnt work!

    ok so my friend told me he was having problems with his ipod. his computer wouldnt detect it so he gave it to me to fix. he was jailbroken in 1.1.2 and i upgraded him to 1.1.4 after that my computer wouldnt detect his ipod so i did a force restore and it didnt work. i tried it several times but i get this message... The iPod "iPod" could not be restored. An unknown error occured (1604) its still in recovery mode what do i do?

    1604 means that you have to use another computer. That never fails. No one really knows why this happens, but it's something about iTunes refusing to fully restore. Reinstalling iTunes might work, but usually doesn't. Restoring on a computer always works, though. Hope this helps!
