I have an iPod Touch 2g which is currently jailbroken (untethered, using the 'QuickFreedom' method). Obviously, when firmware 3.0 is officially released for the ipod touch 2g, I'm gonna want to get it, however only when I know that there is a jailbreak that I can use which will work with 3.0.

My question is, how do I go about re-jailbreaking my ipod with a new jailbrake, while it's jailbroken with a method which works for 2.2.1? Should I restore my ipod to factory settings, starting all over again, and then jailbreak it with a version that works for 3.0?

    Thanks

When your upgrading, restore to a clean 2.2.1, update to 3.0, then when the Jailbreak comes out, use it.
