Well my friend from a cross the street got a ipod 2nd gen for chistmas and was bringing it over to my house but when he got here he said he must have forgot it so we hung out for like 3 hours at his house and he began to get worried he said that it mustve fallen out of his pocket so we go all the way back to my house and thank god we found it barried in about a foot of snow! He pulled out what just looked like a huge snowball and we rain inside and cleaned it off. The ipod worked perfectly after 3hours in foot deap snow!!! top that!!

It didn't suffer any impact - it just sat in the cold.

Big difference there - this has nothing to do with how fragile it is.

Yeah I think fragile is more of dropping or scratching but that does show durability.

I fell down the stairs the other day and accidentally threw my iPod touch 1G(no case) down the stairs and into a wall. No damage, but some paint got in between the bevel. I managed to get it cleaned out, though.

I had just bought my new 2G touch and I was playing the SGN bowling game which requires you to swing your ipod like the wii version and... being all shiny and slippery I threw it across the room into my ps3!

SOMEHOW... neither the ipod or my ps3 suffered any scratches or damage!
