Did you get a brand new iPod or a refurb/fixed iPod Touch 4g?

I went in to get an exchange but I think he said they ran out of replacements or 32GB models. He went ahead and suggested I get an exchange through Amazon or Apple. I asked him if the replacement was a new or refurb, and he said most likely new since the iPod Touch 4G is relatively new. I went ahead and did it through Apple but the more I thought about it, I'm a bit worried that I might not get a new iPod Touch.

I understand that but its like, I'm stuck in that mentality that I paid for something new and if I wanted a refurbished I should pay less than what I did. But thanks for knocking some sense into me.

I replaced mine. Pretty sure it's new, however it didn't come with earbuds or usb. I think they give you just the iPod itself to save money with giving away another set of earphones and cords. At least i'm pretty sure it's brand new, doesn't seem to have a refurb serial #, and it has a light leak meaning it didn't go through the extra testing refurbs go through..

For my first replacement, I got a new one, since i gave back everything that came with it. Today I am going to exchange it again. This time however, I go straight to the register because the guys at the genius bar gave me a paper about it. This means that I should get a new one, since he told me to bring everything it came with.

The new iPods seem to have really crap build quality, half the threads on this forum are about people who've had them replaced like once or twice at least.

The 2g was better then the new 4G 4G is too thin for me.
