Hi, well when i first saw the YouTube videos i thought it was impossible to scratch the IpodTouchs screen. They used razorblades and such in attempt to scratch their IPhones/IpodTouch well... to be honest i've happened to drop my Ipod a couple of times. But only on soft surfaces. Well when i today saw some smudge on my screen i cleaned it and when i hold it in the light to see if the smudge were gone, I saw a lot of small Scratches. Though this i have not carried anything else in the same pocket as i have my Ipod, and well i'ts not worth to replace my screen because of some scratches... no, but i still thought it was unscratchable before today. Be aware... The screen is not immortal. /Oscar

sand can also scratch the invisishield, when applied with pressure.

Thankfully I have a protector for the screen as there are numerous small scratches already, probably appeared when I cleaned the screen with a piece of cloth...

I've had my Touch for almost a year. Zero scratches on the screen, and only three scratches on the scratch-magnet back.

I keep it in one of those Apple iPod socks whenever I'm not using it/when it's in my pocket/etc. I got the pack of "socks" on clearance for like $12. They're machine washable, and keep the iPod protected nicely.
