Font Position Help

    • How do I curve the position of the font as in the Starbucks logo below without distorting the text itself?

    If I remember rightly, select the text tool and up top there will be a T with a curved arrow underneath. Click that and you can arc the text.

    that wont work smithy i was gonna say that but it causes serious distortion

    Like in the example above. I want the text to arch, but not distort.

    Yes Sir. Photoshop CS4.

    That will distort the text, as kev1st says below.

    I read a while ago about using the pen tool to make a path and then use the text or something but I dont know.

    ok well i think i figured it out.

    1) draw arch shape w/ pen tool
    2)click text button
    3) hover the mouse thing over the new path. u will notice that icon changes from an 'I' thing w/ a box around it to a 'I' thing w/ a squiggly line through it.
    4) click the line
    5) type

    hope that helps.

    **edit** teh guy above me method is easier and me accurate unless u wan twierd shapes that inly a pen tool could get u
