    Well there is, as far as I am aware zero hype. Microsoft are leaving it too long between announcing it and releasing it.

    In all honesty i've forgotten about it. With the iPhone 5, iOS 6 Maps, Samsung vs. Apple, you forget these kind of things.

    Just like everything else from them. It's amazing for a month and then its just...it is just Microsoft. Apple has stolen the attention of the market. Perhaps we will see a new iPad and iPad Mini this month. Maybe we will see worthy competitors to the other tablets (price, not quality and functionality).

    honestly i think it will flop just like the touchpad did. i expect to see this slashed down to $99 again very soon after its release.

    Why would Microsoft begin to Market a tablet that isn't even finalized, who's price isn't even released, and (if they're staying true to their original word) the release isn't even until January? Microsoft did say they would release surface three months after Windows 8 and RT. The hype they created off the prototype alone was quite amazing, I don't think it's going to be too hard for them to just rebuild all the hype. Give a release date and the price and people will jump for joy.

    They haven't announced pricing yet, and likely intelligently so.

    I'm sure it will be a big deal again once the Apple stuff dies down then they announce the pricing and availability. Buy a 5th-gen iPod touch for $299, or a Surface RT for $299? (If Microsoft wants more sales than profit...)


    Surface RT will launch around when Windows 8 launches. The "Pro" version, (spec'd more like an ultrabook than an iPad,) launches three months later.
