    Seems anything can be licensed these days, althouh, I wish stock iOS had a live clock. It was always a number one download for me in Cydia.

    Actually, Apple never initiated the patent war. Perhaps their example will show other companies how to get along peaceably.

    Wow I was half expecting another lawsuit but well done Apple! I guess they must really like this clock design to be willing to license it instead of using a different design.

    Well I'm glad it didn't turn into a suit.
    I have to say, I'm assuming the way the Swiss handled it is the only way it didn't go that way. I could very well be wrong, though.

    If they decided to change the clock design with the next iOS update, they'd pretty much have to pay for the time it was used in iOS. I think the license fees aren't too high so Apple decided to just pay the license and keep the clock design.
