I have edited it to no avail, and even deleted FolderSwitcherBG.png from SpringBoard.app. It no longer exists. Completely out of the picture.

Yet my folder/switcher bg is unchanged. Still the same as it was.

    Ideas?

Is Winterboard even completely updated for 4.1? That may be the problem.

Winterboard? Yeah, it works perfectly on 4.1, but that's irrelevant. I have REPLACED and even DELETED the image from /System/Library/CoreServices/SpringBoard.app, but my iPhone is still reading it somehow. Reboots and resprings both make no change.

Ha. I was just messing with that. (I'm on 4.0 though but I assume it's basically the same)

I changed mine to a circuit board..looks cool.

All I did was replace it with a circuit board wallpaper I got, then dis a quick respring..works fine..

You HAVE to respring in order to see the change..

Edit: just read the previous post..sorry, I got no idea. Only thing I can think of is that there's another copy of it somewhere that it's using, instead of the one in springboard.app

All I can suggest is(as my edit suggests) trying to search for another one it's using instead of the one in springboard.app.

I would assume the image HAS to be there somewhere, so just search around..

That's what I thought, but I've been looking everywhere... Why would Apple resize it for efficiency, then not use it? :?

its not a give up though, like all other things, it can be changed...just a matter of finding the right place to change it from

    edit: ninja'd
