    Windows has the worst folders.

4.1 will raise the limit on folders.

I see no one has heard of short-cuts. Though they are annoying to make.

Where is your source on 4.1 raising the limit on folders?!

GMail's concept of labels instead of folders I think beats hierarchal folders on Windows, OS X, and iPhone dramatically.

The only problem I see with labels is if you (for some reason) view all files (like All Mail in GMail), then you will get a massive list... Another limitation is how files would be stored across different drives/partitions (not much of a problem for mobile devices, but more so for desktops/laptops).

I think Unix symlinks hit the nail on the head, by allowing both folder hierarchies and for a file to appear in multiple places without duplication...

Common sense. Apple raised the page limit to 11 in 3.1.

That's exactly what I said when I read this, but whatever. We all have to vent sometime!
