How come when I tap on a folder, it takes about 2-3 seconds to open, but doesn't take up more RAM? Why doesn't the ipod just use more RAM to speed up the opening animation of the folder?

Well are you running a bunch of things in your multitasking list? If you had infinifolders, it takes a while to open up a folder.. But 1.1 fixes it

Unless your OS is out of RAM and its swapping virtual memory pages to disk, having more RAM won't make a difference in performance. More RAM != Faster Processing.

Ok maybe you have to remove inactive launch daemons regarding Folder then there will be More RAM and way faster processing!

When you open a folder, it dims all the other icons and uses shadows and such, do you think that you could disable that for more speed?

EDIT: I don't use multitasking, and the only Processes open at the time is Music and Video which are always on and i can't figure out how to disable those from "staying" open

Categories is usually slower than folders.
