Anyone have a gooseneck model that works with the itouch?

My Belkin TuneBase for Ipod simply shows an accessory is attached for a few seconds then stops. Of course, it works fine for the 1G nano I have.. I could have kept the $300 in my pocket the same way I have to keep my touch as it wont work in the car..

Oh that sucks... Would it have something to do with the new chip Apple put into the dock connector so it would only work with iTunes? (just an idea)

I tend to like the CCrane transmitter (after the modification). Sorry it's not a gooseneck and it's a little large, but it outperforms the others. Google for this & the mod instructions.

Thanks for the clarification. I wasn't sure what that 'chip' thing was actually for.

so if it is not because of the magical chip... can anyone explain why the unit does not work with the new ipod touch?

it is either defective, or does not use the dock connector.

does a message appear on the screen, telling you that the iPhone does not support it?

i mean iPhone, because Apple forgot to change that message too

If your fm transmitter has its own screen and only draws powere and audio from you iPod it should work, it the transmitter uses the iPods screen to select a frequency it will probably not work because it was designed to work with the standard iPod OS, not the new OSX that the iPhone and iPod Touch have. BTW, my Griffin iTrip works just fine with my touch
