once the 2g ipod is jailbroken, would it be possible for an application to be made that lets the ipod take advantage of bluetooth or fm radio since the broadcom chip apparently supports them?

it might, but probably not. in the current firmwares, theres no instructions for the ipod on how to use the hardware, so writing an app that utilizes this software would be useless. unless someone wrote a custom firmware which let the ipod have access to these things. which would be extremely difficult. let apple do it

Someone would probably need to write a custom driver for OSX.

OR maybe apple are waiting for the next major upgrade when they charge $10 for the app and £30 for the cable.

There IS NO FM RADIO in it. Bluetooth Radio and FM Radio are two different things. They're both radios sure, but they both do different things.

There is a possibility that somehow one might get bluetooth and/or FM receiver to work, but it is also highly likely that the iPod was build in a way that simply doesn't allow it to use these features, hardware and software wise.
    Would be cool though

If this were enabled in the next firmware update, Apple would say, please pay $10 for this upgrade again..

If they enabled this in the first place, it would surely increase the sales of the touch 2g.
