FlyTunes is essentially a free "music service" for a wide variety of Wi-Fi and 3G integrated media players and cell phones, including the iPod Touch and iPhone. As stated directly from the FlyTunes website, http://flytunes.fm,
    "
FlyTunes offers you a music experience that's better than satellite radio, offering access to thousands of high quality music channels." Upon FlyTunes registration, FlyTunes states that you must be 18 years of age to use FlyTunes, although you can choose any birthday below 1989 if you're under 18, but if anyone asks, I never told you that.

P.J. Caples: "Let me tell ya, there isn't a dang thing better than this!!"

FlyTunes currently supports the following media players/cell phones and is expanding to support others due to the demand, such as the Microsoft Zune media player.

Media Players/Cell Phones currently compatible with FlyTunes:
    • iPhone
    • iPod Touch

Just a few genres and channels of music that FlyTunes currently has are Country, R&B, Rap, Rock, Top 40, 80s and 90s and many others to choose from! As stated from the FlyTunes website, "
thousands of high quality music channels." The possibilities are endless!

FlyTunes originally was in Beta mode and sent out invitations in the beginning to certain people. Those people who received invitations could send 3 invitations of their own in 72 hours of receiving the email. Although, weeks later, it looks as if it is now open widely to the public and is working bug free for the iPhone and iPod Touch! If you go to http://flytunes.fm you can register by entering in your email and a few other specifications and you're on your way! FlyTunes will send you a confirmation email shortly after entering in the sign up information.

Behind FlyTunes: "FlyTunes Inc. was originally founded in 2006 as BroadClip Inc, and changed its name in January 2008. The company has offices in Livermore, CA and Lancaster PA. FlyTunes was founded by a group of seasoned PC industry veterans to create cutting edge media management technology for portable digital media players."

They also have draws for iPhones every so often, so make sure you enter your name in for the next draw! http://flytunes.fm

I don't believe it is beta anymore and is open for registration to the public.
