I was wondering which type of case for an iPod Touch (2g) is preferred - a "Flip Case" or a regular Case or a Skin.

An example of a "Flip Case" would be like a leather Flip Case and for a "Case" I was thinking like the Rebeltouch or Speck Candyshell. As for skin, just a regular skin.

Please say which you prefer and why. Thanks

um... a "skin" is a thin plastic film designed to protect from scratches
a case is what you are calling a "skin"
and you are spot on with what a flip case is

i would recommend a case; flip cases are annoying since you have to flip it to access the screen (which you use a lot)

Ahh ok thanks. But which is better for protection and which lasts longer (as in, won't get ruined so easily)?.

I'm kind of minimalist and a huge part of why I wanted a touch was the size of it. even adding a small case or a flip seems too much to me. I picked up a skin from bestskinsever (i've used them for my PSP's and DS's in the past) and they are fantastic
