I'm new to this iPod Touch stuff. This is my first thread here and second post here. Great forum by the way. I was wondering why there was no plugin of some sort for flash to enable flash player to work in Safari. It would enable so many possibilities. Just wondering, thanks.

    iPod Touch's for the win!

I am fully aware that there is no plugin for flash as of yet. My question is why though?

    ....No?

It would cost them $0.00usd. Its a plugin. Not some amazing new product, and even if it was an amazing new product, it costs manufacturers literally nothing to make the product. It would take Adobe no less than 10 minutes to install to Apple. It's just safari.

It wouldn't cost millions. This isn't some microsoft product, it's Adobe. Adobe and Apple seem to be on good terms judging by the products on the apple website. Even if it would cost a bit for them, you're forgetting who we are talking about, apple.

I've just been looking around the iPod using SSH, and i've found a direcory in safari called "Plugins" it contains the quicktime plugin. If apple didn't intend to expand on this why make an updatable file structure? Maybe it's earmarked for a later update (fingers crossed) in the meantime, maybe somone could exploit this and make their own patch? wink wink!

Not exactly free...They'd have to pay Adobe SOMETHING for doing that 10 mins worth of work! Exhausting stuff there.
