I've started porting a version of the Flash Plugin for the ipod. I drew up what basically needs to be done and I'm about 60% done.

Expect a beta that will have bugs by Sunday.

wow, that's quite a claim. may i ask how exactly are you doing this without access to Adobe's code?

Cool, someone else is already trying to port flash from the PSP to the touch. How are you going to do this?

I will be waiting for Sunday.

Well, like I said it's 60% done of the draw up. The way I have it down seems pretty simple. Basic C++ and a little use of PHP involved. I'm sure there is one huge issue I'm missing that everyone else has found.

Accessing the codes are pretty simple. Convert exe's and dll's to text format is all it requires.

Probably took the flash plugin from some other mobile device such as the PSP or something and is modifying it in an attempt to get it to work with Safari and OSX. Or maybe a flash plugin from some other device.

It is indeed quite a large claim being 60% done, and getting 40% done to have a beta up by Sunday? It sounds unlikely. I too will watching on Sunday.

Well...keep us updated. OSX to mobile...seems very unlikely.

    unfortunately, it's not that simple.

the "codes" you are "accessing" are platform and OS-specific. all you are doing is copying the contents of the x86, win32 version of flash. there is no way this is going to work.

besides the obvious issues with the difference in OS platform, you are trying to take code meant for one family of processors to another. this is especially problematic because the ARM family of chips is RISC whereas the x86 family is not.

    Read up: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ARM_architecture

Then, take a few years to learn important programming concepts
