Is Flash even open-sourced? Correct me if I'm wrong, but wouldn't it be impossible to to write a plugin for safari, or even a standalone app for reading swf's, without the source code? If so, we just have to hope Apple will team up with Adobe to get us a plugin.

I don't mean to repost something that's already been covered hundreds of times. I just had a little thought about why it may not come from rogue developers, and thought I'd share it with you guys.

It is possible to create a uniquely yours Flash player plug in, but it's a lot of work. Linux has many open source flash players. It might be possible to port one of those to MobileMac.
