I'm currently working on the next update for iSlsk which will fix this issue, in the meantime you can refer to this page where someone came up with a good step-by-step tutorial to manually fix the FirewireGUID error, which apparently is working fine for most people.

VERY IMPORTANT: Due to the high number of people having trouble with this, please CREATE A BACKUP COPY OF YOUR ITUNESDB FILE.

    Its usually located at:
    /var/root/Media/iTunes_Control/iTunes
    /var/mobile/Media/iTunes_Control/iTunes
    /private/var/root/Media/iTunes_Control/iTunes
    /private/var/mobile/Media/iTunes_Control/iTunes

so in case your music library gets all messed up or corrupted, you'll be able to restore it.

    Sorry everyone for the inconvenience.

didn't work for me. I have an iphone on version 1.1.4. I put the file in /usr/bin and then chmodded it to 755 and it still didnt fix the problem.
