yes, is still 10.7 .3 edition, but calling them fixes is an insult to my intelligence.

How can this fix the problem, if I cant even run safari or firefox on the system?? even in safe mode!!!!

the correct key combo is cmd+R ( starts recovery )

I do have to thanks myself to have an up to date time machine backup and a UPS power backup, AND to have stared all the time at the recovery process tickling my mouse so to STOP the power saving from screwing the delicate operation up. oh my god..

And woila! 10.7.2 happy user again. Gosh...

now the big question is: when will I get this update? as it seems it enhance video driver and a couple of other things. thanks,

but I hate when this happens, and since I got this machine, is the second time it happens!

last time was the Solid Drive firmware who basically erased my main partition...
again Recovery and time machine saved my day there too..
