WOW! I thought the iVoice wouldnt work on firmware 2.0, after updating to 2.2, I was doing the test call on fring, and it works! I heard myself talk back!

Forgot to mention this was without jailbreaking.

I used Fring from the app store, I was nervous and it sounded like I said spring... LOL

I just got off the phone I had a 30min or so conversation with someone over skype...

That one wasnt really a thread about this discovery specifically, and the other thread I created was in the jailbreaking forum, and this was done without jailbreaking.

Are there free VOIP apps? Does it cost anything to make a VOIP call?

If not, I'm downloading 2.2 and buying that mic tomorrow. O_O

Fring is a free VoIP application on the App Store.
Skype has free PC to PC calling, try google, some are limited to 5 free calls, some are limited to 10 minutes total talk time, some are limited to unlimited 1 minute calls. I have not looked up VoIP in a while so these may have changed.

And i believe you mean, "If so", not, "If not".
