Ok. i followed this tutorial (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HFEk_nt4ZtM) and everything went fine except the part that it's not on the tutorial.

i actually could jailbreak my 2g ipod touch but when i connected it to the itunes, i restaured all the settings from a previous backup of my 2.2.1 ipod version (musics, videos, settings, etc..).

when it was connect to the itunes synchronizing, my ipod was fine when the green battery on the screen and saying Synchronizing.

after the synchronization finished, the ipod shuts down and the screen goes black. i press the Turn On button for 15 seconds and home button as well but nothing happened. i also tried to press the on/off button with the home button pressed and i hold it for about 20 seconds.
    nothing happened.

if i connect my ipod to the computer, i can hear a beep but nothing on itunes...

my ipod can't even go to recovery mode to restore the firmware.

it's dead and i'm taking it to a apple store and see if they can do something...

If you jailbroke it it WILL void your waranty with apple. also, have you tried DFU mode. plug it in. then hold home and sleep for 10 seconds then let go of sleep and keep holding home for 10 seconds.

Holding the power button and home button blindly doesn't help.

Hold the power and home button for 10 seconds, and then release the power button and hold the home button for 7 seconds. Holding both for 20 seconds won't do anything.

That's not a brick, READ before following 1 video.

Enter DFU mode, don't know what it is, GOOGLE, shift+click restore in iTunes.

Then you're not doing DFU Mode right.

hmm if you hear a beep it means it's detected. Which could mean some sort of hardware failure. You can go into device manager and see what it says after you hear the beep.
