Alright so i understand that the iPhone 3GS will no longer restore to 3.0 or 3.0.1. (only for the 3GS) apple stopped signing those firmwares so you'll need to restore to 3.1 (and u need to be connected to the internet to restore)

i have a 3.0 firmware jailbroken on my 3gs and i know if i brick it then have to restore, i'll lose the Jailbreak because then ill be forced to restore to 3.1.

how do i make sure that I can JB on 3.1 in the future? ppl talk about ECID and IBSS and all that. but is it too late to make it now?

    please reply.
    thanks.

You'll always be able to jailbreak, regardless of saving your keys, ECIDs, and you IBSS.

That was only for the inital 3.0 firmware (I think), its really not that neccasary.
When a new version of redsn0w comes out, or greenpois0n, or whatever program to jailbreak 3.1, you upgrade, then jailbreak.

    Simple as that.

You can probably still get them, I don't know. Just try it.
