I was thinking about upgrading to 2.0 in the near future but I read some other topics abouts Itunes constantly backing up your ipod every time you connect it to itunes. Is this problem rampant or a few isolated cases or can this be configured in the preferences paniel somewhere?

i have this exact problem with 2.0... my time doesn't sync right, every time i plug in the ipod a new time is changed and the wrong date is synced... but the constant backup problem occurs with me

I read that you have to delete a file in one of the apple folders...hmmm I go find it for you if you want.

All you need to do is click the little x in iTunes to stop the backup. Its not really a problem. I actually think its a good think to have it backing up often.
