ok so ever since I updated to 1.1.4, finder can't do anything to my ipod. I can VIEW files, and scroll through my folders, but I cant modify anything! any change I make is instantly un-done as soon as I hit done or back.

and I've restored and re-jailbroken before too and still nothing.

    can anyone help?

EDIT: squid and filebrowser dont work either.

but I think it may be the same thing as having to login as root every time I use terminal (by default it logs in as media or something, with no permissions to modify things. but I use the login comand to login with root/alpine and it works) maybe theres a way to run my apps as root? like on my vista computer to use cmd to modify some things you have to right click/run as admin

    1) file browser is really unstable

    2) if you actually read my post, youd see filebrowser doesnt work either.

and thanks for the commands wargames, I'm going to go try them now!

EDIT: holy crap it worked! I wonder why it didnt install with the right permissions.

    10000000+ imaginary reps to you!
