    finder/safari download plug-in doesn't work

Finder doesnt change permissions, it cant change the names, and sometimes it wont copy/move stuff!!

i tap "modify", change what i need to, then tap "done" and it just exits the modify menu without changing anything!!!

    yes permissions are set
and it used to work when i had 1.1.3

edit: i got safari download plug in to work with the hachu safari DL and boss prefs
so im finally happy, except finder still doesnt work and the download plug-in doesnt work with mp4
    edit:YAY!!!
    i got a new index.plist and it supported mp4!!!!
    now to fix finder.....

I've got finder 1.8.0 working. I think you need to also install suid lib fix. Also can you attach mp4 plist file? i could definitely use it.

it has a ton of other stuff too

i cant seem to download videos from tinytube and [PIRACY.rs]/[PIRACY.mu] though
i click download download and it immediately finishes downloading, and the video never works.

I dumped the info.plist in the finder.app folder, but it crashes the finder?

    actually, the info.plist goes in
    /System/Library/Internet Plug-Ins/File Download Plugin.webplugin

    sorry about that.
heres the info.plist that you overwrote

    (remember it goes in Applications/Finder.app)
(the one above goes in /System/Library/Internet Plug-Ins/File Download Plugin.webplugin)

well, I got both of them on the system. However I`m not quite sure what the one in Internet Plug-Ins/File Download is supposed to do. besides I had to create both of last folders... I`m sure that`s not supposed to be like that...

I guess you dont have the safari download plug-in
(thats why you didnt have those folders)

    Heres how to get it:
go into installer and add this source

    http://dezign999.com/repo

now go to the category called Fight Club
    install "APP: Hachu's SafariDL"

this will install the safari download plug-in for 1.1.4!

to use it, go to the "Utilities" category and install
    BossPrefs and
    BossPrefs Safari DL Control
(this will let you switch it on and off)

make sure you completely resart your ipod by sliding the power off bar, and not just resetting the springboard
