Can you help me find an app that if I play a song, it will automatically find that songs name? But, the trick is, if the song is unrecognizable, I will be able to add it to my own database and add the song name artist etc?

There is feature is not for iDevices. Sorry. But there should be voice control that you speak the name of the music and it plays. That's far its gonna go. Just hold the home button until that pops up and speak. Microphone required.

    Maybe SoundHound or Shazam...

Nope, I mean if a song is playing somewhere else and the app can't identify it, I'd like to be able to manually identify it, so when that song plays again it will recognize it.

I've tried Shazam and SoundHound, but neither has a manual option as I described earlier.

So you're telling us is that you WANT it not to recognize the song? Because I know that both apps recognize songs well.

No, I'm saying if both apps fail at recognizing a song, how can I tell it that this song it failed to recognize is called "Bushfire" , so next time it plays it can recognize it.

Well if you know it's name the next time, why would you have to do the recognition again?

Let's say I have a course in Music around the world at my university. When a song is playing through the speakers in my class, I'd like to be able to identify and name it on the app. This way memorization will be easier for me.
