    A few days ago, I lost my iPod Touch (unjailbroken) and I've been going nuts trying to find it. I currently have it's serial number (Found it through iTunes) and I was wondering if there is any way I can trace it using it's serial number?

    You yourself cant. I think you cand download an app to your ipod and then download something on your computer to find it, but its to late for you. I think apple can locate it but I doubt they will do it for you;

    or.. you can buy a MobileMe account, then download the "find my iPhone" app in App Store.. than you have your iPod/iPhone located..:D

    He's right. Ask someone to lend his/her iPod and install Find my iPhone on it. Tada! Located

    MobileMe isn't quite as useful on an iPod as it isn't always connected to the internet.

    that's true too, you know.. I mean.... I figured out that MobileMe for iTouch is useful only if you lost it in your house:)) but it will work if you have iOS 4.x and if you lost it in a WiFi place..

    if it is found by someone and restored apple might be able to tell you who it was reregistered to. but they can not restore if you had the password lock on or so apple says.

    Mobileme will only locate your ipod if it 'find my ipod' was turned on PREVIOUS to losing it. and it goes off of different satellites, etc rather than wifi.
