finally revieved grado sr-80i!

    finally got them!!! and must say, they own! their bass is so much cleaner and stronger than my sennheisers. man! the guitar is amazing!!!!!!! at 100$, very very good. and i (unlike most people) find them quite comfortable. any questions? post em here

    Side note: Can anyone clarify the difference between sr80i and sr60i?

    Also, what's this "Prestige" series that's been labeling the Grados line? Same with the "i" suffix.

    The difference between the 80s and the 60s is the bass from what I can tell, 80s have more/better bass. I think it's really funny, the write-ups on the website are almost identical for both, just changed the 6 to an 8 and added a sentence to the 80s for the bass.

    EDIT: Wow I never realized how nice the higher end Grados were, like the GS1000's, but I like closed cans, that way I'm not self-conscious about people listening in on my music.

    Did you listen for 3-4 hours to them ? Then the pads kinda get itchy

    plus out of the box then dont sound that great imo - They need some time to burn in !

    That was the versions without the i. The original Grado SR60-225 looked like plain crap. These have the housing style of a 325is which is good

    Well it bevels/sticks out pretty much ... But i like the old versions much better for portability cause the i versions are attracting to much attention on the streets due to the size....
