I finally, after all the trouble, got my iPod Touch 2G jailbroken. Now there's one more problem.

How do I install themes for SpringBoard on my 2G? Is there a SpringBoard I need to download from Cydia?
    So, the questions are:
    How do I use SpringBoard?
How do I install SpringBoard themes?

Install "WinterBoard" from Cydia. You will need to reboot your device.
When WinterBoard is intalled, in Cydia you go to: Sections > Themes (SpringBoard) > *browse themes*

When you downloaded a theme, launch WinterBoard from his icon and check the theme on the list.

So that means we would need to download it. Reboot the device. Re apply the JB and it'll be there? Or will it be blank again.

I tried re-jailbreaking. I didn't find Winterboard, so it would be a hamster wheel of jailbreaking.

When you reboot the device, you don't restart from step 1.

Look around the forums, use the godly search button, you will find some easy and fast "reboot"/"boot" utility made by nice forums members.

No. It's not a 'hamster wheel of jailbreaking". You just forgot to read about "rebooting" on this forums.

When you reboot there is no need to reapply the JB just use the boot.bat tool.

This goes for anytime you need to reboot, just connect ipod start boot.bat and your done, takes about 30 seconds to do

If you do a full reboot (jailbreak) you will loose all the installed apps (winterboard)

Where can I learn more about this: ipod start boot.bat

I am following the Windows Tutorial STICKY and just repeating Step 13 which takes a few minutes...I`m interested in the boot.bat.

Lol how do I use Springboard...

I would sigquote that if I wasn't on my iPod...

Oh and you go into Cydia, search for Winterboard, download it, reboot your touch (ugh tether time).
Go back into Cydia, browse for themes, download the one you want (try Buuf2), then press the home button and open Winterboard. Click on your theme, press the home button, wait for it to respring (don't worry, it's not rebooting), and voilĂ !
