Had no luck searching for an apps/utility on the web and hope you could help out.
What I am looking for is the ability to:
    - transfer files from PC to ipod touch via USB cable
    - be able to see those files on the touch without being connected to PC
    - it works on non-jailbroken ipod touch

As a background, I do have iphone explorer who is great for USB transfer, however, you can't see those files from the touch unless you are connected to a computer.

I also have iFiles which is great for transfer and viewing when you have wireless but without it it is useless for transfer. Besides, when started on the touch, it can only see your own files, not those from iphone explorer for example.

I know those things exist on a jailbroken touch, which I had before, however it was becoming too much of hassle to keep jailbreaking all the time.
Is there something similar for a non-jailbroken ipod touch?

    Thanks

Theres an app called dropbox which is free, which syncs with all documents saved on your PC and allows you to view them. Theres many other apps that have the ability to do this and even edit them in the productivity area of the app store.

I have the dropbox, that is not what I was talking about.
With dropbox your files are on their server, not on the ipod touch. Besides it requires internet. No internet - no access to files.

you have a 2G iPod Touch, if it is MB - just jailbreak it and go for iFile.

I used iFile (loved it) when I had my touch jailbroken.
I am now looking for something for a non-jailbroken touch. Thanks

I've just checked it. It is a dropbox type application/service. Still require internet presence. Not really what I am looking for, thanks anyway.
