    I searched for a solution to this, but didn't find anything.

    I used Format Factory to convert some videos to H.264 and when they synced to the Touch 3G, the files sizes are doubled. The files play through once with sound and then again without sound. Any ideas on what is happening (read - what I did wrong)?

    Use Videora if you are trying to put them on you iPod. Works for me everytime. Or maybe your source files are screwed up?

    Be careful when you say the 'V' word. People here will tell you it is a memory hogging software.

    @OP: Use MP4 instead.

    +1 for Handbrake.. The BEST video converter for iPod I've used till date.. Its better then most of the paid converters out there in the market.. The best thing about it is that it supports a host of formats from .RMVB to .TS

    In looking at Handbrake, it appears that it only converts from DVD. Is that right? Will it convert other file formats already on my hard drive to mp4?

    Sorry - found the answer to my own question. Guess I was looking at at old version. I'll try it and see what happens.
