This is a discussion thread for the "Fido Now Offering LTE in Select Canadian Markets" story posted on the front page.
Not offered on cell phones yet. And it's a huge rip off, and knowing how things go when it does come to cell phones, it will be an even bigger rip off. Rogers had the best deal, with a $30 6gb LTE plan add on. If only the iphone 5 came earlier, might have hopped on that limited time offer that ended august 8th
Fido doesn't just use the same towers as Rogers? Why are they keeping the two companies separate? What's the advantage?
I was told today that it was coming back in a few months to half a year, so if one is patient, then they can wait for it again. Fido was offering the same deal I believe. I think all the major companies were except for Wind, which offers unlimited data, but with really spotty coverage.
Correction. It was a Super 6GB plan. It was 60$ for 6GB LTE Data, My10 Canada wide, 200 min, free after 6 EVE/Weeknd, Rogers one Number, and unlimited txt msging. That ended on Aug 8. The 30$ for 6GB has never been LTE. Well it was. Depending on when you added it. If it was during the time when the S2 came out...then its LTE but before then...not a chance. I know this cause i work for Rogers
