Not had my ipod touch long, and when i try turning it off, it turns off then keeps flashing up with the apple logo every minute or so untill the battery dies.
Also when i tried connecting it up with my new laptop, it wont seems to recognise it as a camera and not an ipod.
If anyone has any suggestions they would be appreiciated,
    Thanks

Put it into restore mode. If not try dfu mode.

Your computer is recognizing it as a camera because you have Firmware 2.0, which includes the ability to take screenshots. These screenshots are stored on the iPod touch like a camera, so when you plug it into your computer, it's giving you the same options as a camera. So if you want, you can take these screenshots and place them onto your desktop.

And to place your iPod touch into DFU Mode, follow one of these ways:

    1. Hold down Sleep/Wake button and Home button together, until the iPod touch powers off. Once the iPod touch turns on again, let go of the Sleep/Wake button about 1 or 2 seconds later, still holding the Home button. Once plugged in, iTunes will recognize the device is in Recovery Mode.

    2. Open up iLiberty+ and other the Other Tools tab select 'Enter DFU Mode'.

    3. Open up ZiPhone and select Prepare for Upgrade.
